Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Macroelectronic Materials and Processes Engineer T05 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The selected candidate will participate in developing innovative solutions to a host of materials and process problems supporting various space, aircraft, and ground systems.
Require a self-starter responsible for supporting the Materials and Process Engineering. The desired candidate must be able to multi-task and have a good understanding of materials and processes, parts, sub-contracts, manufacturing, assembly drawings and test procedures. The candidate will participate in design reviews, program reviews, failure analysis, trade studies and qualification review boards in support of PM&P issues across the entire Spacecraft design (subsystems, units, slices, CCAs). Tasks will include analysis and review of a variety of components and materials: passive, active, and electro-mechanical. This position requires a leader as well as a team player who will have significant interaction with management, and engineering personnel from other areas. Must be able to formulate detailed instructions/test plans and be the lead in their execution with a proven understanding of data analysis methodologies and knowledge of design and manufacturing processes.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with components engineers, product engineers and manufacturing engineers.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
