Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking an Earned Value Management Manager (EVMS) 2 to join the team in Redondo Beach, CA (Space Park).

The EVMS Manager 2 will report to the SSSD EVMS Senior Manager and will interface regularly with the Customer, Contracts, Human Resources, Compliance, and Security. This position provides leadership, guidance, and development to a staff of 5-10 EVMS Analysts for various programs across SSSD. In addition this incumbent will also support the Senior EVMS Manager with resources planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including employee goal setting, annual reviews, and issues resolution.

This role requires the candidate to have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or eligibility to acquire a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Clearance.

Responsibilities include:

  • EVMS basic training activities for project personnel

  • EVMS specialty and ad hoc training

  • EVMS expert support, training and guidance for program Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) and Joint Status Review (JSR) activities

  • Consult on all program start-ups in relation to EVMS compliance

  • Provide focal compliance analysts for all large and small programs

  • Provide Sector and Division leadership and coordination for Cost and Schedule Health Metric reporting

  • Execution of annual Self-Surveillance Program

  • Sector command media coordination and update

  • IBR and EVMS compliance reviews of subcontractors

  • Coordination of Corporate Corrective Action Request (CAR) tracking tool and support of CAR reporting system

  • Develop close working relationship with various programs to foster sharing of best practices

  • Assist in deep dives and strike team actions

  • Evaluations program office process leading to recommendations for implementation of corrective actions


Basic Qualifications:

  • An active DoD TS and/or SCI Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in business management to include program cost control and planning OR a Master's Degree and 8 years of stated experience

  • Leadership Experience

  • Extensive working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS) to include compliance and with EIA-748 and DoD EVMS Interpretation Guide

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers
