Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Systems operating sector has an opening for a Communications Director to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. We are looking for a communications leader who combines new ideas and a pioneering spirit with people leadership, strategy and an ability to add value to the company.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategy in partnership with our Aerospace Systems' leadership and internal organizations. The Director will develop and drive execution of internal and external messaging platforms in alignment with company, sector and organizational strategic priorities and objectives. This role will be located at our Space Park campus, in Redondo Beach, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the sector's Internal Communications including employee, executive and digital communications, as well as external communications support for employee attraction initiatives. Primary duties include executive communications (employee outreach, written, digital and visual communications, etc.), managing internal communications campaigns, publications, employee announcements, and sector intranet management.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 10 years of communications experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of communications experience
4-6 years of experience in internal and employee communications
Previous experience leading a team of communications professionals
Project management experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance
Master's degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications
Experience with public relations,corporate communications,branding, marketing services or advertising
Proven success with executive level communications support
