Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Product Engineering Department is seeking Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout designer / engineer. The candidate would collaborate with mechanical designers, engineers and analysts within Product engineering, as well as electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, materials & process (M&P) engineers, and others outside of the department.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Work with all engineering disciplines to incorporate their constraints into the Mentor Expedition PCB CAD database
Understand and adhere to the core Product Engineering PCB design processes, ensuring others on the team understand and are compliant
Develop an expert understanding of our high reliability design standards
Lead PCB design reviews and help to create PCB design schedules
Develop expert knowledge with our internal build specs, as well as industry standards, and understand PCB producibility
Electronics and Payloads
Unique ID: elepay
Minimum 6 years of experience in CAD design and engineering of printed circuit boards
AA degree or other Technical degree in related discipline
Good interpersonal and communications skills
Good organizational and problem solving skills with an ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain and active DoD / SCI Clearance
Current understanding of IPC industry standards
Familiarity with electronic parts and their specs, especially high reliability Mil Standard parts
Knowledge of how PCBs are produced and current understanding of design and producibility challenges
Experience in Mentor Graphics Expedition VX design flow
