The Systems Engineering Design Integration Lead opportunity reports through the P093 Mission Integration organization. This lead position will manage day to day activities of a team of system engineers on a variety of focus areas:

• Develop/Influence systems engineering products and processes for integrating future enhancements into a system

• Provide SEI level SME support in IRD requirements development and verification activities

• Support to system level integration studies

• Development of cross-discipline simulation tools to evaluate system performance and effects

• Identification and implementation of lessons learned / best practices in products related to enhancements

• Support to Enhancement Engineering organization within SEI to provide design integration expertise in product development, feasibility studies, customer outreach

• Support to the development of system IRDs and common products

• Provide coordination support and/or leadership in efforts that cross multiple discipline and organizational areas.

• Foster and develop efficient collaborative relationships between program systems engineering organizations to increase program awareness on design integration related activities

The lead will be entrusted with developing and executing system level objectives concerning the focus areas described and reporting technical and programmatic progress to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and a minimum 14 years’ experience (12 with a MS, 9 with PhD) in any combination of engineering disciplines applied to space systems (Elec, Mech, EDI, TDI, MDI, SE, etc)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering requirements development with focus on system design integration

• Working knowledge of traditional design integration interfaces types with expertise in requirements development and verification

• Understanding of space system bus and payload interfaces

• Must be proficient in DOORS and MS Project

• Active SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• CAM/EVMS experience

• Business Development experience

• P093 or equivalent system experience

• Demonstrated management or leadership experience strongly preferred

• Familiarity with model based systems engineering and mission simulation processes

• Experience with working with subcontract and/or external entities
