Northrop Grumman Computer Operations Manager in Redondo Beach, California

Northrop Grumman Technology Services (NGTS) is looking for you to join our team as an Operations (OPS) Support Manager Level 2based out of Redondo Beach, CA. The OPS Manager will have responsibility for a set of capabilities and ensure that the design, implementation, and verification of those capabilities are defined such that it meets the overall mission objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Evaluate engineering change requests, assessing the changes and impacts from a mission perspective

Focus on identifying and taking advantage of synergies between development programs, operational sites, and factory efforts

Support the ISG Project Lead as a Cost Account Manager (CAM), responsible for oversight and management of 25+ system administrators, network, systems, cyber and facility engineers, providing leadership support and staff tasking. Includes ISG 24 x 7 operations, cost/schedule development and reporting, technical performance, documentation, and process management development in areas of Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) planning and procurement, build up and configuration, deliveries, and maintenance

Perform a dual role: 20% of full time will be as a functional manager (section manager) and 80% of full time will be technical engineering support directly on the ISG program as the Operations Support Manager.

Some travel will be required.

Candidate will communicate and work closely with the ISG APM, Project Leads and Project subsystems to coordinate Project requirements, roles/responsibilities and schedules.

Planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality of ADPE deliverables.

Coordinate and communicate ISG activities to Program Management, Customers, Security, and Functional Management.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelor's degree in Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline

5 years of management experience

Comprehensive knowledge of information technology principles, concepts, and techniques.

Experience with computer room equipment operations and sustainment

Current SCI access or current DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access by start date

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Experience with ADPE life-cycles and real-time operational environments and a demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop effective processes.

Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Master's degree in STEM discipline

Current SCI access

Experience managing System Administrators, Network Engineers, or Software Development team

Current or ability to obtain Cyber Security Certification (Security+)

Previous ground system and operational site experience

Domain knowledge of COAST O&M processes

Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process

CAM knowledge
