Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Associate Project Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Project Specialist position involves managing and overseeing the operational aspects of ongoing F-35 program Support Equipment (SE) projects. Serves as liaison between project engineers, internal and external organizations such as Global Supply Chain (GSC), suppliers and management team. Liaises with GSC and suppliers to understand and resolve technical engineering issues associated with delivery of SE hardware.
Prepares and manages Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Project Schedules and prepares status reports on the health of the organization. Identifies risks and opportunities and coordinates with project teams to mitigate and retire risks. Develops and maintains SE proposals to include reviewing & updating Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW), preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), performing quality checks on all proposal submittals, attending proposal related reviews. Evaluates issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Prepares heading check executive level briefings for management and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Some experience related to project management, logistics, or supply chain
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Preferred systems include MPM, Rapid and ProPricer proposal tools, SAP and Business Warehouse
MS Access experience is desired but not required.
