Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission orientedAssociate Program Management,located in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This role will be supporting a large-scale, high visibility fabrication effort. This is an entry level position of significant responsibility with an opportunity for career growth. The pace is up-tempo, the duties are varied, and the role and responsibilities can expand based on the performance of the individual selected. Frequent and effective liaison with the members of the management and fabrication teams is an essential part of this role. Recurrent travel to support Program may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, principally Excel and Outlook, but also Word and PowerPoint

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Must be able to travel 10% 25% in support of Program activities.

  • Possess very good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance Preferred

  • Capable of obtaining Program clearance (PAR)

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Project

  • Knowledge of production processes including planning and scheduling

  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, instructions, and schematics

  • Capable of interacting effectively with a multi-disciplined team of personnel including but not limited to; Managers, Planners, Kitters, Parts Integration personnel, Technicians, Test Engineers, Mechanical Engineers

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project including scheduling, tracking, reporting status

  • Able to read, understand, and interpret written and verbal work instructions

  • Able to maintain records

  • Able to work independently as well as in group settings

  • Well organized, efficient, and capable of handling multiple tasks while paying attention to detail

  • Possess good presentation skills
