Northrop Grumman is seeking a graphic artist to serve in both a creative and supervisory role for the company's Technical Publications and Copy Production Center at its Plymouth, MN location. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide the team with creative direction and supervise daily workflow while also leading the creation of professional graphic products for all business segments and functions at the organization's operating locations
The supervisor must have the ability to take direction from customers as well as providing graphic expertise to help create high quality finished work for presentations and collateral and marketing materials. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.
B.S. or B.A. degree
Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in creating graphic art.
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints, relay and receive information and collaborate in a team environment.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of file configuration management
Must have demonstrated ability to query authors for clarity and compliance purposes and must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.
Mustmeet requirements for worldwide travel. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Candidate must possess or have the ability to acquire an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that.
Prior military or defense industry experience.
Experienced photographer and photo editor.
Creative direction experience
Proficient in the interpretation of engineering and business data.
