Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Test Conductor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the MQ-4C Triton program test activities. This position will be located at NAS (Naval Air Station) Patuxent River, MD.
The Triton - MQ-4C ITT (Integrated & Test Team) is a US Navy & Northrop Grumman combined test team working together to ensure future capabilities are tested and evaluated in an efficient manner. The selected candidate will perform a variety of data collection and technical support services on the Triton Air vehicle and Ground Control Stations; and support the research and procurement of MQ-4C unmanned air vehicle components in direct support of life cycle sustainment.
Responsibilities include Interfacing with NGC and customer Flight Test Engineers, Flight Test Conductors, and Ground Operations Technicians. This position is the primary interface between maintenance, design and flight test engineering. Test Conductors operate Vehicle and Payload Test Controller software during aircraft start-up/shut down for launch and recovery as well as for static ground tests utilizing BAMS Evaluation, Test and Troubleshooting Interface Equipment (BETTIE). When properly cleared they will also operate the Weapons Replaceable Assembly Intelligence Community Load Management Apparatus (WILMA) to interface with system SIGINT systems.
Conducts operations in accordance with NGC policy and procedures, and NAVAIR 3960 Test Plans and Procedures and per NATOPS.
Reviews and provides inputs during engineering development and executes Detailed Test Requirements, Acceptance Test Procedures and ground Test Plans.
Prepares Test Variances in accordance with engineering direction and engineering changes.
Responsible for providing inputs to update Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.
Integrates tests and develops strategies to improve test efficiency. Generates, reviews and executes Test Work Sheets and Requests for Tests (RFTs).
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. The selected candidate will be located at NAS Patuxent River, with a 25% travel contingency to remote sites at a future date.
Must have 6 years experience with a HS Diploma/GED but would consider a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience.
Top Secret Clearance able to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and Polygraph Investigation.
Previous RQ4/MQ4 Unmanned Air Vehicle system test or maintenance experience is highly desired.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communications skills, including the ability to brief test results to senior leadership.
Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
