Northrop Grumman Logistics Management Analyst in Patuxent River, Maryland

Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.

Job Description:

Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

BAMS-D Specific: Abide by all associated BAMS-D GOP's, maintain housekeeping/organization standards within warehouse space(s), hangar & Bldg. 507, keeping supply report & WASP report up to date & sending status, dispersal of applicable (communication) tracking data to all "key" personnel, provide training and/or guidance support to lower level/junior analysts as needed to ensure team cohesion/collaboration throughout, and assisting maintenance department if needed for aircraft movement (i.e." wing walker").



Basic Qualifications:

Typically the ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience OR 7 years experience in lieu of degree

  • Must have a current/active Secret Security Clearance

-Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.

  • Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.

  • Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ordering, expediting and tracking all BAMS-D material requirements.

  • Developing and administering integrated logistics strategies, including supply chain activities from point of manufacture

through information management support, deployment freight, warehousing, customer freight, order management,

customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement.

  • Ensuring that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing constraints.

  • Preparing logistics documents for purchasing of common and peculiar supply support for all emergency and nonemergency


  • Receiving, inspecting for conformance, stores, and issues, replenishes, inventories and accounts for all government and

NGC property.

  • Developing and maintaining multiple databases for accountability of government funds, materials and equipment in

accordance with government and corporate regulations.

  • Initiating, shipping, tracking, expediting and receiving and inspects for conformance of all repairable materials through

government and contractor systems.

  • Developing and maintaining all related files and databases pertinent to the repair process.

  • Coordinating with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering and subcontractors to expedite material requirements.

  • Maintaining records for all property owned by government, company and associate contractors.
