Northrop Grumman Technician LO 3 in Palmdale, California

Candidate will perform a variety of duties in low observable systems. Will include application of materials, appliqués, coatings, decals, primer and paint. Other responsibilities include: troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices or systems that aid in the LO buildup process. Applicant must be able to work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble necessary fixtures and/or components. Other responsibilities include: Operating related equipment, conducting tests and reporting data in prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products, making modifications and adjustments as necessary, performing calibration and alignment checks, preparing prescribed compounds and solutions. Candidate must be able to operate MS Office suite applications. Position will require domestic travel 25%.

Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.

Basic Qualifications

Associates, 2 year technical degree, or technical certification with 3 years of experience -Or- 7 years experience

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance to startwith the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start

Must be able to lift 30lbs

Basic computer proficiency (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance with investigation closeout within the last 3 years.

Operational and/or test experience preferred over manufacturing/production but all candidates will be considered.

Mix of In-shop and hands-on maintenance experience preferred

Must be able to lead lower level employees in meeting scheduling milestones

Should be capable of training others in performing complex technical tasks
