Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
- 1st shift, 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!
Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a candidate that will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of incoming and outgoing material and company hardware. They will support central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services. They will be responsible for the coordination and execution of NG transportation deliveries both long and short haul.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the receipt, delivery and inspection of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services.
Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and format quotes.
Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.
Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.
Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local Northrop Grumman business environment.
Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Manages, develops or carries out delivery in accordance with local established business policies, procedures and public law.
Ensures accuracy of delivery information.
Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.
Basic Qualifications ( Supply Chain Logistics Specialist):
Bachelors Degree with 3 years of logistics or related field experience or a Masters Degree with 1 year of logistics or related field experience.
A high school diploma/equivalent with 7 years of logistics related field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Valid driver's license
Must have an active DOD Secret Security Clearance (to apply/start).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting)
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist):
Bachelors Degree with 6 years of logistics or related field experience or a Masters Degree with 4 years of logistics or related field experience.
A high school diploma/equivalent with 10 years of logistics related field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Valid driver's license
Must have an active DOD Secret Security Clearance (to apply/start).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting)
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Forklift and Crane operation experience

Salary Range: $63,800 - $95,800
Salary Range 2: $78,500 - $117,700
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
