Northrop Grumman Defense System is seeking a Senior Principal Maintenance Trainer position out of Palmdale, CA. The successful candidate will establish and direct a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. Analyzes current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. Writes, edits, and sustain materials for technical instruction. Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of a program wide training and qualification record system. Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques. Coordinates all required technical training.
A candidate for this position will be teaching others, and should be proficient in the tasks of performing minor structural repairs and modifications and be able to troubleshoot, perform repairs, and service aircraft and engine systems. Should be able to teach others how to conduct diagnosis of malfunctions, perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
Assigned work locations are Palmdale and Edwards AFB, Ca.
