Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Project Engineer for our Palmdale, CA location.

Essential Duties/Functions:

This is a senior level position in charge of project management for enterprise infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will be expected to create and manage project execution schedules, including coordination with security, facilities, and IT, and be able to communicate to senior leadership on the health of projects. The successful candidate should have good project management skills and must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to plan and design new system schedules based on a given set of requirements and assist the Systems Administrator team when issues arise.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and 9 years of relevant experience; OR 7 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree; OR 4 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Active, in scope DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters's degree in STEM

  • 8140/8570 Certification or Security+ Certification

  • Strong leadership and presentation skills

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Server

  • RHEL

  • Scripting/PowerShell

  • Email server (Exchange)

  • The ability to communicate with Senior Leadership

  • Microsoft Certification a Plus

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
