Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California.
In this role, you will be leading the Configuration Status Accounting team. You will be responsible for gathering the program information for engineering release, Engineering change status, Deviations, Waivers, Variances, Audit status, Action item status and actual configuration of all end items. You will oversee As-designed vs. As-built reconciliation, requiring significant collaboration working with Engineering, Manufacturing and Mission Assurance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating the preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
Reviewing contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
Analyzing proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
Coordinating modification records for management control.
Establishing change orders and preparing for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
Reviewing and analyzing released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
Supporting program configuration and data management requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 10 years of related military/professional experience in Configuration and Data Management OR a Masters degree AND 8 years of related military/professional experience in Configuration and Data Management
Must have an active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Current active PAR clearance
In-depth knowledge of EIA0649 and MIL Handbook 61A
Proficient experience in Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Prior experience in Manufacturing
Prior experience MES/SAP/CPLM
Principle understanding of EBOMs, OBOMs, and MBOMs
Salary Range: $107,000 - $160,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
