Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a Project Management 3 professional to join the Operations Project Management (OPM) team at the Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence.This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The roles and responsibilities of the Project Management 3 position include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of projects and serves as a liaison between the project team and integrated product team (IPT)/program leadership.
Plans, organizes, and directs projects utilizing a systems approach.
Works with project and leadership teams to ensure the effective management of schedule, budget, and risk.
Facilitates meetings and working groups to build consensus, ensure effective time management and task completion, and promote effective communication within the team and to leadership.
Assesses project risks/issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction of goals and objectives.
Plans, prepares, issues, and controls project schedules and coordinates with various functional groups to ensure projects are executed to schedule and expectations.
Negotiates engineering drawing release schedules and manages production change incorporation plans to effectively mitigate assembly disruption.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided to support master production schedule, line load, and other requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts through the generation of Work Release Orders.
Minimum ofa Bachelor's Degree and 6years project management experience; OR aMaster's degree and4years project management experience
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, including MicrosoftProject.
The ability to effectively communicate/interface with multiple levels of leadership and departments.
The ability to understand and provide solutions to complex technical challenges
Theability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Must have a current active DOD Secret Clearance that has been granted/renewed within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Active Special Program Access (SAP) security clearance
Experience in an aerospace, manufacturing and/or facilities environment
Strong project management and organizational skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or general project management certificate
Experience in a highly matrixed and/or multi-functional organization
