Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Supports the project management team with the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serves as liaison between project management, business management, production planning, project team members, and frontline management. Reviews status of projects, budgets; updates schedules, organizes status reports, implements risk and issues. Ensures cost and schedule integration. Prepares customer data requirements list (CDRLs) for submittal. Formulates award fee criteria inputs for management. Measures project issues, creates resolutions to meet productivity, quality, client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Responsible for assisting management with corrective action (CA) development, and implementation. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Prioritize daily and urgent tasks between multiple locations. Fosters a team environment.
Bachelor's Degree in business management, project management or another related field with 6 years of experience in program or production planning, manufacturing and administrative tasks.
Current and active Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
Masters degree in business management, project management or another related field with 4 years of experience in program or production planning, manufacturing, security, scheduling and administrative tasks.
Current and active Top Secret Clearance.
Able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
