Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This position is for the Section Manager (SM) of Production Support for PAICoE Advanced Programs, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering Liaison Engineering Department Manager, Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence. The SM will lead a growing team of Liaison Engineers as well as design engineers working in Liaison. SM will be responsible for the dispositions of nonconforming metallic and composite parts and assemblies.

For functional tasking, approximately 20% of the SM's time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions. Supporting the VE Liaison Engineering Department Manager on the NGAS Community of Practice will be expected.

SM is expected to be thoroughly versed, and preferably a Subject Matter Expert (SME), for the Liaison Engineering discipline. NX and MES experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from accredited institution with a minimum of 9 years of engineering experience.

• Prior MRB experience

• Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret with the ability to obtain special program access.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or PhD in ME, AE or Civil Eng (Structures) Design emphasis.

• Experience in staffing forecasting.

• Experience in a technical leadership/management roles.
