Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Industrial Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our Palmdale Center of Excellence in Palmdale, CA . The selected candidate will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing mentorship to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Essential Functions:

Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may lead training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years experience or Masters degree with 6 Years experience or a PhD. with 3 years experience in Leadership, Industrial Engineering and/or Production support.

  • DOD Secret Clearance with background investigation within the past 5 years.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM field

  • Industrial Engineering experience

  • Aerospace Systems Industry Experience

  • 5 or more years of documented experience working in a robust IPT environment

  • 4 years of demonstrated experience leading teams and projects

  • Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools including Excel with Pivot tables and Macros

  • SAP/MES Expertise, Tableau experience
