Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Manager, Programs Level 3 – Program OU Integration to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.

As a key leader, the Operations & Integration Manager will provide leadership within a high performing team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of critical projects within an Operating Unit. The position requires a solution-based mindset and the demonstrated ability to develop practical execution plans in a dynamic and complex environment. The selected candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information and data resulting in effective communication, collaboration, and implementation of a strong operational foundation with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. This position requires a candidate with strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to lead in an environment of continuous change. This position requires the ability to report out at the Executive level, including status, planning, and execution. Collaboration with programs and functional leaders to develop and nurture a highly competent and engaged team that delivers on commitments and embodies “best culture” is essential.

The successful candidate in this role will be interested/energized by and able to:

· Drive cadences across the team for key deliverables, including weekly status reports and communications

· Facilitate effective staff meetings with focused agendas, calendar reviews, task tracking, and appropriate analytics

· Engage with all employees up through executive leaders to understand requirements and expectations and inspire a retentive team culture

· Manage execution across the team including calendar integration, task tracking, customer engagement coordination, and internal deliverables

· Serve as the focal point for communication, planning and collaboration for internal logistics activities

· Lead regular meetings with the team to discuss issues, concerns, and resolution

· Improve operational efficiency of systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission across all Operating Units (OU)

· Oversee execution of key strategic projects and deliverables; engaging all relevant stakeholders to ensure success - establishing needed partnerships, developing program plans, and driving accountability for performance

· Integrate metrics, develop, and refine dashboards, leverage and embrace digital transformation opportunities to streamline procedures, processes, and communication

· Prepare leadership for meetings and events with agenda review, data collection, talking points, presentation materials, and logistical support

· Cross collaborate with Division and Sector personnel to ensure program enterprise equities are accounted for

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.

  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering and engineering leadership, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.

  • Experience with Process and Policy development and implementation

  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Experience with EVMS

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance that is in-scope with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation and be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive people leadership experience as well as extensive experience working with Executive/Senior leaders and DoD customers

  • Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)

  • Experience in program operations and/or program management in a lead role

  • Current PMP certification

Salary Range: $187,000 - $280,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
