Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Ground Test Enigneering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is for a 3/10 Shift manager and will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Performing Functional and Assignment duties.
The role of the Cross Program Manager includes being responsible for all facets of test planning and execution in multiple areas to include: scheduling assets, assigning personnel to execute testing, ensuring System Test Engineer (STE) training/proficiency requirements are met, coordination with Engineering on anomaly resolution, and preparing/executing test events.
The candidate will develop, prepare and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules to execute ground testing.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for planning, executing and reporting on Air Vehicle and Mission Systems flight test status to the SIT&E Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads.
He/she will have frequent contact with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations, scheduling and specific phases of the test program.
The candidate must be able to balance customer contractual needs and requirements while developing solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
9 or more years of experience in aerospace with BS degree in STEM
Active in scope DoD secret clearance.
Systems test experience in a lab or on aircraft.
Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
Systems test experience on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.
Acceptance testing on aircraft systems such as: Avionics, Fuels, Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Navigational, Communications System, Sensors, and Propulsion.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
