Supervise and provide direction for the daily operations of the Palmdale Low Observable (LO) Model Fabrication and Assembly team which provides personnel, services and resources to meet current and future test requirements of IPT and functionally managed development programs.
The team is a diverse group of technicians skilled in all applicable fabrication disciplines including; radar cross-section (RCS) models, antenna test fixtures, prototypes and LO test specimens.
The team also provides offsite test range and chamber support.
You must possess strong leadership, scheduling and interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate and motivate people.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring assets and equipment, resource management and enforcement of environmental, health and safety regulations.
This position requires the application and implementation of lean principles with a significant emphasis on process improvement associated with statement of work controlling quality, cost, and schedule performance.
Position requires extended travel for up to a month at a time.
Must have good organization and communication skills and able to work in a multi-discipline environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.

AA Degree with 3 yearsexperience infabrication processes.Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal technical degree. Experience in generating and tracking schedules, budgets, estimates and costs.Current Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
