Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Logistics Planner 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. The qualified candidate reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel. May forecast and manage budget system. Maintains a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards and full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks and develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Participates in determining objectives of assignment, plans schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing program objectives. Represents the organization within the functional area and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Develops and delivers presentations.
3 years with Bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with Master’s. Four additional years of applied experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience using Aviation or Aerospace technical data.
Candidate must be able to research engineering data, technical manuals, and subject matter experts to lead complex projects from start to finish utilizing established processes, development software, and related team members.
Experience with development, validating, and updating technical training or technical publication materials.
Proficiency in computer skills associated with the respective business professional position required.
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
Applicants must be a US citizen and have a current and active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to maintain that clearance.
The ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.
Experience as a qualified mechanic, technician, or operator in a technical field such as aircraft, ship, missile, or space systems highly desired.
Top Secret clearance preferred.
