Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Liaison Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on B-2 Program Depot Maintenance. This position will be for second (2nd) shift and located in Palmdale, CA. Training and familiarization will occur on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
The B-2 program is searching for a liaison engineer to Provide dispositions for nonconforming parts and assemblies as an engineering member of the Material Review Board (MRB). Must have a working knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and functionality. This position will in addition require disposition of some structural repairs. Position requires the application of engineering principles and ingenuity to design engineering repairs and the ability to interface with all Northrop Grumman IPT teams in a professional manner. Verbal and written communication is a must.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in STEM from an accredited university with 0 years of experience.
Experience with the MRB process.
Experience with NEWS for electrical routing (Essential).
Knowledge of aircraft best electrical wiring and fiber optic design practices.
Familiar with CITIS and TeamCenter.
DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the business to meet its needs.
Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
Familiarity with operational platform.
Two or more years of aircraft design/liaison/manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with full life-cycle of an air/space vehicle design support process.
