Test Director/System Test Engineerposition responsible to overseesystem tests on an airvehicle. Serves as liaison toEngineering and the Air Vehicle Manager. Reviews status of test requirements, manages test schedules and prepares reports. Oversees technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Quality Engineering.
The candidate must understand the basic operation of aircraft systems such as Avionics, Fuels, Hydro, ECS, and Electrical. Must be able to write test and troubleshooting procedures,perform testing of systems, and direct troubleshooting of discrepancies on an aircraft depot and flightline environment. Candidate will work closely with engineers ofall disciplines and technicians to return a modified aircraft to flyable status.
Bachelors of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field of study from an accredited university
Minimum 9 years proven experience testing one or more of the following:
Aircraft Avionics & Electrical Systems
Aircraft Hydraulic Systems
Aircraft Fuel Systems
Aircraft Environmental Control Systems
Active DoD Secret clearance (required to start) and the ability to maintain and obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) level access/clearance is required also
Understanding of test and checkout operations on aircraft
Must be able to write testing instructions from drawings and electrical schematics
Experience with Air Force Tech Orders
Control room experience during test flights
1553 mux troubleshooting and use of Hexadecimal
Radar systems operation
Experience with Digital Volt Meters
Experience writing test procedures
Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
