Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer 4, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This Systems Engineer will performs technical planning, system integration, and verification and validation. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Essential Functions

Systems engineering expertise in systems development and systems engineering processes.

Application and development of functional architecture and requirements analysis and development using UML/SysML (Rhapsody, CORE, System Architect, Magic Draw) and requirements management tools (DOORS)

Experience working across system boundaries acting to horizontally integrate a mission or system thread.

Experience in applying advanced technical principles, theories, and/or concepts in the development of system design and building consensus among stakeholders.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; advanced interpersonal skills; and excellent organizational skills are required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degreein Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM discipline) with 5 Years of experiencewith Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD

  • Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance

  • The ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B-2 Program Access
