Northrop Grumman Electrical/Electronics Technician 3 in Palmdale, California

Performs production and line testing and maintenance. Repairs, modifies, installs, and tests electrical / electronic systems. Performs duties / functions of test personnel in area(s) of assignment. Determines and performs the sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing critical components / systems working with engineering.

Performs testing, rework and repair in various fields of specialization. Applies theories and skills in accomplishing assigned tasks. Works from electronic data, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, technical orders, engineering orders, schematics, wire diagrams and other technical documents on electrical systems and electronic components. Modifies and adjusts systems as necessary.

Performs wire repair, wire harness installation and other associated duties as assigned. Performs electrical repair and testing in support of specific test objectives. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains various types of complex equipment, components, devices or systems. Notifies supervision of any / all malfunctions, defects and damages to equipment, material and product. Checks work for completeness and accuracy. Position requires ability to interpret and use wire diagrams, drawings, schematics, and engineering documents to repair, maintain or modify complex systems.

Position will require domestic travel up to 25%.

Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma+ 7 years experience -or- AA/AS or technical certification+ 3 years experience

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP).

Must be able to lift 30lbs

Basic computer proficiency (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance preferred with investigation closeout within the last 3 years.

Operational and/or test experience preferred over manufacturing however, all candidates will be considered.

Mix of In-shop and hands-on line maintenance experience preferred

Must be able to lead lower level employees, as needed, in meeting scheduling milestones

Should be capable of training others in performing complex technical tasks
