Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Associate Industrial Security Analyst at our Palmdale, CA location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Serves as a member of the physical security team and ensures program compliance. This ISA 1 position is a junior-level position which requires fast-paced on-the-job training and the ability to work odd shifts (nights and weekends).

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an Active FINAL U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret level with a background investigation date within the 6 years

  • Candidate must be flexible with working night and weekend shifts as needed per business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1 year of Security, Intelligence, or Administrative experience

  • Experience with DoD Manual 5205.07, Volumes 1-4

  • Experience working with customer-based security components

  • Working knowledge of basic office automation tools, such as Microsoft Office

  • Must work well as a junior member of a team

  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and have the ability to make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions

  • Ability to maintain flexibility to deal withchanging priorities and deadlines

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
