Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Ground Maintenance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) under the test and evaluation (T&E) center. This is a work onsite position located in Palmdale, CA.
The NGAS Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) Systems Test Organization team requires a Level 3 Ground Maintenance Manager responsible for all facets of ATDC ground operations. Day to day responsibilities include management of staffing, managing assignments, coordinating cost and schedule with Program leadership and budgets, and securing parts and materials as necessary. This position requires a highly motivated and self-starting individual with relevant ground test operations experience, who will be willing to work additional assignments beyond the defined requirements of this position, if required.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide technical products and planning coordination for the Special Projects IPT
Lead a team of Managers that control all assets throughout the required test phases
Oversee test planning efforts and support working groups with all IPTs associated with testing
Ensures test article configurations are accurate and coordinate all test modifications
Coordinate with local and remote test facilities or ranges, other Special Project IPTs, subcontractors, and US Government agencies
Ensure accurate test article status reporting and provide detailed reports as required to Senior Management
Manage organization's test activities and personnel support, prioritize tasks and oversee the strategic long-term planning of test engineering & ground operations
Liaise with Functional Homeroom and the Government Ground Representative (GGR) as required
Identify all risks, issues, and pressures and develop mitigation and closure plans

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 9 years of test experience in maintenance/leadership experience with an emphasis in ground operations OR a Master's Degree AND 7 years test experience in maintenance/leadership experience with an emphasis in ground operations.
Must have the ability to obtain a TS clearance and Program Access
Must have an active DOD Secret clearance, with an investigation date within the past 6 years.
Must be willing to work non-standard shifts and overtime, as required.
Must have flexibility to work additional test assignments within the Program Test IPT beyond the defined requirements of this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active DOD Top Secret/ SCI clearance
Experience using earned value management systems (EVMS) practices.
Salary Range: $149,400 - $224,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
