Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a qualified Prin Cyber Systems Engineer for a new and exciting program supporting the Navy. The position is located in Orlando, FL. The candidate selected will be expected to perform security engineering related tasks including, but not limited to the following:
Identification of applicable security requirements, providing guidance to products to meet those requirements and control potential vulnerabilities.
Participation in the identification and analysis of system and component level software security requirements to determine security criticality.
Inspecting, testing, analyzing or demonstrating security features of the products to formally certify security requirements have been properly applied.
Preparation and coordination with the customer concerning security assessment reports along with other security documents.
Supporting review of design, engineering analysis, and test data to evaluate compliance with software security requirements and adequacy of vulnerability controls.
Providing direct technical interaction with other product teams with technical software security expertise.
Specific tasking will include designing, implementing, and supporting virtualized environments, HPE Servers and data protection methods, NSX firewalls, AAA, multifactor authentication, crypto management, and SIEMs.
5 years of applicable experience with a Bachelors degree; 2 years of
experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of network protocols (e.g. OSI Layers, ARP, IP, DHCP)
Installing and configuring Linux and Windows operating systems and applications
Demonstrated knowledge of scripting languages
Current Security+ CE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Experience with Security Incident and Event Management platforms (SIEMs)
Current Computing Environment certificate (MCSA, Red Hat, etc.) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Ability to acquire a DoD Secret clearance and ability to maintain within 6 months of hire.
Application of STIGS, Security lockdown of systems
Performance of cyber security scans using ACAS/SSE
Editing and update of engineering documentation.
