Northrop Grumman –Omaha, Nebraska has a current opening for a Quality Engineer 3 to support multipleprograms. Including on base support at Offutt AFB.
The successful candidate will implement quality standards across multiple programs. Perform programproduct and process audits. Will ensure that project and process control documentation are in accordance with contract requirements, program planning and NG policies, processes and procedures. Will review software design, code and unit test, integration, change specifications, and plans for contractual and/or process requirements. Provide continual process improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing Software and Materials into partially finished or finished product.
Collaborate with software engineering and systems engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Collaborate with GSC to ensure quality standards are in place for subcontracts.
Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of software and completed systems.
Design and analyze inspection and testing processes.
Assist with quality assurance tests and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for software products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and root cause/corrective action.
Assist Software Engineering in reporting metrics.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant STEM field with 5 years of relevant work experience OR Master’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant STEM field with 3 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
Active Secret Clearance
5 years of relevant software development integration work experience.
Knowledge of the Agile Development process
Demonstrated experience in the collection of software data and metrics for reporting.
Demonstrated experience in s/w product and process evaluation.
Experience in a Software Engineering environment in an engineering capacity, work plan review, software readiness review, root cause/corrective action analysis.
Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
Ability to work with all levels of management, using metrics and statistics and excellent communication skills are is a must.
Experience with software code review and able to learn various software tools.
