This position is for the Section Manager (SM) for a group of Avionics Engineers for the B-2 program in OKC-Tinker AFB.

The SM will lead a growing team of engineers supporting the B-2 Hardware Sustaining IPT. SM will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to Avionics tasks. The section manager will work 80% of their time on Hardware

Sustaining Engineering tasks, as directed by the B-2 Hardware Sustaining Engineering Manager. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews for each Avionics Engineer supporting Hardware Sustaining and Form, Fit and Function LRU production efforts. For functional home room support, approximately 20% of the SM's time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, and holding performance reviews.

Essential Functions:

Provide leadership and direction to section members, ensuring members have sufficient statement of work.

Work with Functional Department Manager in support of managing employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers),

Provide day-to-day operation of the functional organization including decisions regarding awards, performance evaluations, salary review process, staffing, employee development and mentoring

Execute on the statement of work assigned by your leadership and the program

Basic Qualifications:

BS in STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics).

Educational requirements: Bachelor of Science with 8 years, Master's with 5 years and PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Avionics, preferably in Hardware Sustainment.

DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a SAR Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in technical team management of avionics engineers and direct customer relations.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex technical projects to successful completion by meeting technical, cost and schedule requirements and satisfying customer expectations.

  • Expert knowledge of NGC and/or B-2 engineering processes.

  • 5 years of B-2 Hardware Sustaining engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated success in B-2 leadership/management roles.

  • Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret with Program Access

  • Knowledge of NGC and/or B-2 engineering processes
