This position is for the Section Manager (SM) of a multi-discipline group of Vehicle Engineers for the B-2 program in OKC-Tinker, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Department Manager, Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence. The SM will lead a growing team of engineers supporting B-2 hardware sustaining. SM will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to Vehicle Engineering, which may include Structural Design, Structural Analysis (Stress, Thermal, and M&P), Subsystem and Liaison activities. The section manager will work 80% of their time in one or more of the Vehicle Engineering disciplines, as directed by the B-2 Hardware Sustaining IPT. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor's associated functional task lead in Palmdale, CA. For functional home room support, approximately 20% of the SM's time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, and holding performance reviews.
ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline along with 5+ years' experience OR an ABET accredited Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of experience.
Demonstrated excellence in a vehicle engineering field such as structural design, stress analysis, materials, and/or thermodynamics
Active DoD Secret and a background investigation within the scope of five years. You must also be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses.
ABET accredited Master of Science Degree in Engineering
Current active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Expert knowledge of NGC and/or B-2 engineering processes.
5 years of B-2 Hardware Sustaining engineering experience.
Demonstrated success in B-2 leadership/management roles.
Experience with B-2 BTP development and aircraft modifications.
Experience with CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and B-2 legacy tools.
Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret with Program Access.
Experience with Staffing Forecasting
