How You Can Assist in the Mission-

The selectedapplicants will be responsible for performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of the Advanced Defense Services division.

The successful candidates will be adaptable and creative thinking and able to liaise and work alongside a number of functional disciplines to help develop and form the strategic supply chain approach to support these programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Execution of Global Supply Chain management and procurement ensuring compliance with associated Northrop Grumman procedures

  • Provide transactional support to the purchase of goods and services

  • Support development of Global Supply Chain strategies

  • Support development of bid packages including supplier source selection and proposal evaluation.

  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with senior stakeholders, peers and relevant functional areas.

  • Prepare, negotiate and execute all forms of contractual documentation including; Non-Disclosure Agreements and Terms and Conditions.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues with suppliers by determining root cause and developing corrective action.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of3years Supply Chain experience-OR- a Masters Degree witha minimum1 year experience.( May consider an additional 4 years experiencein lieu of degree.)

  • Demonstrated Proficiencywith Excel and PowerPoint

  • Basic understandingof the purchasing processes

  • Ability to learn systems and processesquickly

  • Ability to work at a fast pace with minimal errors and oversight

  • Proven ability to work independently

  • Abilityto relay and receive informationeffectivelyto a variety of stakeholders

  • Demonstrated abilityin producing written material to present to customers, senior management, etc.

  • US Citizenship required

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of6 years Supply Chain experience -OR- a Masters Degree with a minimum 4 years experience. (May consider an additional 4 years experience in lieu of degree.)

  • Demonstrated Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Basic understanding of the purchasing processes

  • Ability to learn systems and processes quickly

  • Ability to work at a fast pace with minimal errors and oversight

  • Proven ability to work independently

  • Ability to relay and receive information effectively to a variety of stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability in producing written material to present to customers, senior management, etc.

  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of Government Policies, Procedures, and Regulations - Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations in current or previous job duties.

  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)/ Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) type fact-finding and analysis.

  • Experience in the purchasing functionality and business knowledge of Materials Management Module system requirements of SAP (Systems Applications and Products)

  • Supply Chainexperience in support of a Government Prime Contract, such as experience as GS-1102 Series or 6C0X1 Contract Specialist.

  • Ability to interpret policies/procedures and apply concepts

  • Ability to work multiple tasks and deal with competing priorities

  • Demonstrated business based decision making - Flexible and adaptable

  • SAP (ERP) experience/proficiency
