Job Description

Northrop Grumman Strategic Asset Management System (NGSAMS) System Software Developer responsibilities include providing connectivity to USG supply systems, Monitoring logistics reassignment (LR) process to include verifying NGSAMS is up-to-date and to identify connectivity issues with USG systems. Also includes working issues identified by users in order to render the system capable of meeting expectations for managing parts and material. Also includes Supporting IPT leader by reviewing and providing input to business rules, procedures, processes, feedback on NGSAMS updates & improvements. Monitor and track processes, and performance to ensure contract performance requirements are achieved and report supply chain issues/anomalies to the IPT lead.

Basic Qualifications:

Key requirements

  • 9 Years of software development experience with Bachelors in Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, or STEM degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.

  • Development experience in C#, C , Oracle SQL, and scripting languages.

  • Experience with FTP and network management.

  • Ability to take ownership of a hard problem and work as a team to resolve.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with our customer.

  • Ability to maintain an active DOD Secret clearance.

  • NGSAMS development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Day-To-Day Tasks

  • Provide updates to help users have a useful tool

  • Prepare for the upcoming changes with DLMS.

  • Software to parse XML DLMS file for MILSTRIP processing.

  • Working with USG and SAP to ensure NGSAMS is compliant to the upcoming Contractor Supported Weapon Systems/Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Meeting

  • User support

  • Daily user requests for new capability, reports, and process updates

  • Daily monitoring of all user errors

  • Daily monitoring of data traffic

  • DBA responsibilities

  • Maintain Oracle Databases for Production and Development

  • Daily monitoring to ensure security and enhanced performance

  • Interface monitoring for SAP, DLA, and Maximo

  • Assist with interface performance problems

  • Daily monitoring of interface status

  • Assist with processing errors

  • Project Management

  • Ensure all agreements and contracts are signed and valid

  • Ensure developers have necessary software and updated licenses
