We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Sr. Principal SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration and Test) Lead. This role is part of the advanced development team that will be developing next generation technology and architecture for future platforms.

What you’ll get to do:
The Principal/Sr. Principal SEIT Lead will lead a diverse engineering team and be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and staffing for shipboard Integration and Test activities associated with the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter. Integration & Test activities are performed during ship’s construction at Eastern Shipbuilding Group Shipyard in Panama City, FL and/or Austal in Ocean Springs, MS and will include builder and acceptance trials. This position requires multidiscipline knowledge in all areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, and integration and test. The Principal/Sr. Principal SEIT Lead will interface with multiple disciplines including internal Executive Management, Program Management, Global Supply Chain, Business Management, suppliers, and customers.
The Principal/Sr. Principal SEIT Lead will oversee engineering program planning and execution, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, briefings and providing overall leadership and coordination of a multi-disciplined Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have experience in an array of Integration & Test activities which include, but are not limited to, technical support, equipment installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and test. The candidate will routinely review test procedures, prepare test problem reports and validate system test procedures. Candidate must have strong communication skills and will be expected to interface with shipyard and government personnel. Additional activities may entail off-site integration & test efforts involving periods of travel.

Basic Qualifications Principal SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration and Test) Lead:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 5 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 0 years relevant experience.
2+ years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g. IPT lead, functional lead, or equivalent).
Understanding of Systems Engineering processes with execution experience.
Experience summarizing and communicating status reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate management.
Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration and Test) Lead:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 8 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 4 years relevant experience.
2+ years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g. IPT lead, functional lead, or equivalent).
Understanding of Systems Engineering processes with execution experience.
Experience summarizing and communicating status reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate management.
Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid technical foundation in systems engineering with experience in multiple aspects of the systems engineering process, with an emphasis on early development phases including requirements analysis, trade studies, and proof of concept tests.
Experience troubleshooting using vendor schematics and tech manuals.
Experience executing formal test phases with USCG witness.
Experience developing formal test reports.
Experience in Program/Project management of hardware intensive programs including demonstrated knowledge of earned value management.
Experience with an array of test equipment to include: signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters and network analyzers.
Experience as a self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to act as a liaison to the customer for engineering efforts.
Knowledge of one or more shipboard systems in the following categories: Integrated Bridge Systems, Combat and Control, Navigation, Network, Machinery Control, Electronic Warfare and weapon systems.
General knowledge of shipboard preventive maintenance procedures, and shipboard man aloft and tagout procedures.
General knowledge of shipboard power distribution systems, synchro distribution, and navigation inputs.
General knowledge of networking principles and experience debugging system hardware and external interfaces.
AutoCAD or similar CAD experience.
Prior military or government contract experience.
Active Secret clearance or higher

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000
Salary Range 2: $114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
