Software Architect/System Integrator
The program has a great opportunity for those looking to move into a software chief architect/system engineering/system integrator type role! This position is for a highly motivated individual that wants to be in on the ground floor to define the requirements/architecture/design for the development of the router product which integrates with several subsystems as well as the ground system. This position provides visibility at the segment and system level as the product is integrated. As the chief architect/system integrator lead you will provide technical expertise to the development team, identify and plan out risk reduction activities as well as provide guidance to the SW IPT lead. Experience in embedded real-time processing and platforms; integration of large scale software products, and ground experience highly recommended.
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, OR other applicable STEM discipline, with 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of experience with a STEM Master's degree
Proficiency in embedded, real-time application and infrastructure software development (VxWorks) and in software development for ground-based test environments including Graphical User Interface (GUI) implementation
Proficiency in reviewing and flowing down customer requirements, and performing detailed design, coding, and testing of those requirements in accordance with corporate and USG standards
Laboratory experience, including experience with validation and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems for aerospace, and with laboratory test networks and instrumentation
Expertise in C and C++ Proven ability to communicate and present to internal and external customers verbally and written forms to support technical reviews and assessments
Requires an active"DoD Secret clearance
Familiarity with GPS concepts, including navigation messages, ranging codes, waveforms, commands/telemetry, and/or receiver algorithms
Familiarity with principles of secure coding, and with processes and protocols for assuring cybersecurity in flight software and flight payload architectures, including application of RMF controls and cryptography
Experience with one or more of the following: QorIQ processing platform, Serial RapidIO interface/protocol, MIL-STD-1553
Previous experience leading a team of multiple engineers
