Job Description
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Northridge , CA is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 4 who will be supporting various programs across the Advanced Weapons business unit.
The selected candidate will work a 9/80 schedule (M-Th; and every other Friday). Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 4 with a great work ethic and affable attitude to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Using an ERP computer system to properly receive and ship items so that contractual requirements are met.
Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
(Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
Must follow shipping practices and transportation routing, schedules and requirements per published procedures.
Daily activities will be a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, as well as interactions with key stakeholders from Supply Chain and Operations.
Adhere to internal company processes and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 6 years of Shipping/Receiving activities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued DoD Secret clearance within a timeframe set forth by management; US citizenship is required.
Willingness and ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, up to 30-45 lbs.
Demonstrated experience in operating a forklift and other types of freight moving equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Current/active Secret clearance.
Hazmat training and experience is highly desired.
International shipping experience is also highly desired.
Salary Range: $62,900 - $104,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
