Northrop Grumman Staff Systems Engineer / CAM with Active Security Clearance in Northridge, California

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, Advanced Weapons , is currently seeking a Staff Systems Engineer/CAM for our AARGM-ER program in Northridge, CA . The selected candidate will be a Technical and project leader of a systems engineering team for large tactical missile development activities.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • System and subsystem requirements development and management; verification requirements development and management 

  • System architecture development and management

  • Technical performance analysis, systems analysis and management, system trade studies

  • Modeling & Simulation development and management; constructive, physics-based, real-time

  • Modeling & Simulation of complex, dynamic systems

  • System safety, system cybersecurity, E3, R&M, Cost analysis

  • System technical risk/opportunity identification, assessment and management

  • Key technical interface to the Government Customer

Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available for this position.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current/active Secret clearance.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or related field15-20 years' experience in systems engineering and hi-tech product development

  • Well-versed, skilled and disciplined in system engineering processes

  • Multi-disciplinary engineering skills, subject matter expertise in at least one area

  • System engineering and/or system architecture leadership and management experience

  • Strong background in architecture development and/or requirements development

  • Strong background in aerospace systems; basic understanding of missile systems, GNC, warheads, and survivability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in an Engineering or related field.

  • Current/active Top Secret clearance.
