At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work - and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.
Use broad knowledge of vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion, classical/modern control, and estimation theory to solve complex aerospace engineering problems. Contribute to development of new knowledge, concepts, products, and innovative solutions. Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments for aerospace engineering activities. Plan, organize and supervise the work of a team of engineers and technicians. Evaluate progress and results obtained. Recommend major changes to achieve objectives.
Flow down top-level requirement to Missile Guidance, Navigation, Flight Control, and Target Tracking algorithm design. Plan and execute these algorithms' design, development, test, and evaluation.
Design and develop 6+ degrees of freedom (DOF) high-fidelity non-linear dynamics modeling and simulation (M&S) for flight vehicles.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines in the selection of navigation sensors, targeting sensors, propulsion systems, and control actuation systems - based on top-level requirement flow-down and 6+ DOF M&S results.
Attend and present at various engineering design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews.
Participate in HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) tests, ground tests, captive carry flight tests, and live fire tests. Analyze data collected from these tests. Evaluate the test results versus system performance requirements.
