Northrop Grumman is seeking a Production Planning and Scheduler for our Northridge, CA . location supporting the AARGM program. This position requires the selected candidate to work on-site in Northridge; remote work is not available for this position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for supporting production activity and making sure business objectives are met.
Duties include controlling production plans, identifying risks, reporting to management, preventing shortages and excesses, handling shipments, and maintaining quality standards.
Develop schedules that clearly show the flow of work through various departments or workstations.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule.
Work with Management to plan and manage production tasks.
Review production plans to identify and report potential risks to Management.
Develop inventory control techniques to avoid shortages and excesses.
Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule.
Assist Management in controlling production costs while maintaining the quality standards.
Review job orders and accordingly establish priorities and schedules.
Monitor execution of job orders and adjust schedules for timely delivery.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on company objectives, production strategies and support activities.
Plan and monitor material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.
Plan equipment, material and manpower needs for job order.
Coordinate with Management in resolving production planning and control issues.
Work with Management to prepare job order documents and give timely approvals.
Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications.
Communicate production updates to Managers and customers on regular basis.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience. Will consider a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience or a Master's degree and 1+ years of experience.
Knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards and ESD-safe procedures
Use of both hands for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds a few times per shift
Must be able to complete walking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, twisting, bending, and reaching
Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate with employees of all levels.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in Northridge, CA. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position.

Salary Range: $82,900 - $124,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
