TheFinancial Planning and Analysisgroup is seeking aFinancial Analystto perform detailed analysis of financial reports for internal senior leadership. The candidate will be required to work in a team environment as well as independently to analyze data, generate financial reports, resolve problems, and provide analysis in a time sensitive environment.
Provide Finance support to all discretionary expenditures including Bid & Proposal, Internal Research and Development, and Selling.
Develop monthly cost forecasts based on historical actuals, program status and management plans.
Provide weekly/monthly cost analysis and reporting to the program managers & business development teams.
Analyze actual cost details to ensure proper charging.
Interface and coordinate project status from a variety of professional functions: Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, etc., and with various levels within the organization.
Prepare and post monthly, year-end and ad hoc journal entries.
Investigate deviations from plan and unusual results.
Support the preparation of monthly operational review packages.
Provide support for the Quarterly and annual external filing requirements.
Perform special finance/accounting projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2 years' related experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of accounting, financial and business concepts.
Must possess advanced Excel skills.
Detailed oriented and the ability to provide timely and accurate resolutions.
Self-starter; motivated to make improvements, and ability to achieve results with little guidance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
