As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighter. The ideal candidate will support one of our Advanced Programs as the lead for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system.
This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers.
We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Configuration Mgmt. Analyst / Sr. Principal Configuration Mgmt. Analyst based in Northridge, CA (no teleworking).

Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate and administer configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit
Manage Configuration Management (CM) processes to maintain the integrity of the hardware and software as-designed and as-built configurations utilizing both PLM and ERP systems
Analyze proposed changes to product design documentation to determine effect on overall product and system
Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met
Assist with preparing/maintaining program configuration management plans to define how configuration management will be accomplished on multiple military programs
Maintain product data structure bill of material (BOM) alignment in an electronic environment
Assist with capturing product baselines and performing configuration status accounting and configuration audits
Support program Configuration Review/Control Board (CRB/CCB) meetings and disseminate agendas and minutes
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 (Principal Configuration Management Analyst):
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements
Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a timeframe set forth by management.
Must have knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
Must have knowledge of Configuration Management principles
Must have experience reviewing engineering documentation
Must be able to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
Must have experience or knowledge of maintaining a bill of material (BOM) between PLM and ERP systems
Must have knowledge of product baselines and configuration status accounting
Must have knowledge or participated in a program’s CRB/CCB to include Major (Class I)/Minor (Class II) classifications, effectivity, and disposition.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in support of program milestones
Experience working in a configuration management product lifecycle/data system (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro,, Windchill, etc.)
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4 (Senior Principal Configuration Analyst):
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements
Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a timeframe set forth by management.

Must have ability to review contract and determine Statement of Work (SOW) requirements and how they pertain to the program
Experience working in a configuration management product lifecycle/data system (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, Windchill, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher)
Current/active SAP clearance
Configuration Management Certification
Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (i.e. Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
