We are looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Management/Engineering Liaison Assistant based in Northridge, CA to assist Engineering with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / Product Data Management (PDM) system support (no teleworking).

Job Responsibilities:

Represents the configuration and data management function managing engineering administrative matters. Interprets and provides guidance on configuration management and engineering company and internal administrative policies and procedures. Performs a combination of configuration and data management administrative tasks for the mechanical, electrical, and special test equipment and tooling engineering functions as required. Provides expediting support for urgent document releases when necessary.

  • Assist/train document authors with:

  • Document creation within the PLM system

  • Change Notice creation

  • Upload of documents to the PLM system

  • Establishing correct relationships within the PLM system

  • Review metadata and items within the PLM System for completeness as required

  • Provide PLM navigation tutorials

  • Assist with Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) part creation

  • Interpret PLM error messages and assist document authors in resolving

  • Assist in expediting priority documentation through the PLM system to include task reassignments as required and tracking and status reports through item release

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

  • **Must be familiar with basic on the job (OJT) training and expediting documentation

  • **Must have basic understanding of Configuration Management and its principles

  • **Must have a basic understanding of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Standards

  • **Must have basic understanding of PLM/PDM system (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, Windchill, etc.)

  • Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e., models, drawings, specifications, parts, change notices, manufacturing plans, and manufacturing procedures)

  • **Must have experience providing guidance to internal administrative policies and procedures and how they apply to configuration management

  • **Must have experience performing a combination of configuration and data management administrative tasks

  • High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years additional and/or related experience.

  • Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements

  • Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with other functional organizations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications (Level 2/3):

  • **Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher)

  • Possible need for SAP/SAR.

  • Experience working in a MRP/ERP system (i.e., Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

  • Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)

Salary Range: $44,600 - $74,400

Salary Range 2: $53,000 - $88,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
