Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida or able to work in another Northrop Grumman approved site (Redondo CA, Oklahoma City, OK or Palmdale CA).
Provide financial support and analysis to the MAS Cost Management Functional Homeroom.
Provide support and training to Integrated Product Teams and Cost Management Managers.
Prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations.
Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management.
Maintain and update cost control systems (e.g. SAP and MPM &/or COBRA).

Good analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask within a dynamic and fast-paced environment with task flexibility and sensitivity to customer's needs.
Self-starter and ability to work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus.
Ability to understand and communicate unique problems and recommend potential business/process solutions

This dynamic and complex environment requires a candidate to possess self-initiative, strong analytical skills and steady leadership characteristics.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 15+ years of combined experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling experience OR
Master's Degree from an accredited university and 13+ years of combined experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling experience
Strong PC skills, specifically high level Excel skills (including: the ability to insert pivot tables, Vlookup, conditional formatting, etc.).
Strong knowledge in Cost management, Pricing, Budgeting, Forecasting, Earned Value, or Financial Analysis experience.
Must be ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple organizations and Senior Leadership.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Prior exposure to financial forecasting, contract geometries, margin analysis, and booking rates.
Ability to interface with senior leadership, and present content in front of audiences.
Strong hands-on knowledge of EVMS policies and procedures
Prior experience working for a defense contractor, military, or production operations environment. Experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Earned Value Management. Familiarity with trend analysis and report preparation. In addition, they must also possess an intermediate-to-advanced level of understanding of the following systems or software: Accounting software such as SAP, Analysis edition for OLAP (AEFO), Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Word), Tableau; Earned Value Management software such as MPM or COBRA &/or wInsight/PM Compass.
