Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.
The selected candidate will support effort for Statutory and Regulatory Compliance (S&RC) for a major program. The role of this position is to work with program management, program integration, engineering, manufacturing, reliability, and test teams to document compliancy across system elements that shows compliancy to DoD Instruction 5000.2. The selected candidate will have a technical background, verification experience, and writing skills to document compliance rational of artifacts.Key role at regular data exchanges and meetings with various customer representatives of the program are part of the job.Preparation and presentation of compliancy metrics to program leadership to track progress is a part of the role and responsibility.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and9 years of Systems Engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and7 years of Systems Engineering experience.
Active and in-scope DoD Secret Clearance or higher and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
Relevant experience with aircraft compliancy to statutes and regulations
Knowledge of DoDI 5000.2 statutes and regulations
