We are looking for you to join our team as a Software Configuration Analyst based out of Melbourne, FL. As a Software Configuration Analyst at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll get to Do:

Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain software configuration management processes to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

  • Support training software developers or provide training to large groups in the use of configuration management tools and Software Configuration processes.

  • Maintain Software Library

  • Perform Functional Configuration Audits & Physical Configuration Audits

  • Evaluate and ensure the overall capability and quality management system of software suppliers by way of pre-contract supplier surveys, surveillance audits, product reviews, formal milestone reviews, and test witnessing.

  • Examine the products associated with the preparation and configuration control of software test environments to assess the team's readiness to enter formal testing.

  • Coordinate configured builds for test and delivery.

  • Engineer innovative build methodologies implementing DevOps/DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery principles

Qualifications:

Requsition may be filled as a Software or Principal Software Configuration Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for Software Configuration Analyst:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience

  • Knowedge of Git and/or GitLab

  • Basic experience with Linux

  • Basic C compilation

  • Must have an active/current Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Basic Qualifications for Principal Software Configuration Analyst:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowedge of Git and/or GitLab

  • Basic experience with Linux

  • Basic C compilation

  • Must have an active/current Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience wtih GitLab CI/CD Pipeline orchestration

  • Experience wtih CMake

  • IEEE standard CM practices/documentation
