Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The selected candidate will become an integral part of the Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems' Open Architecture Team, interfacing to an industry-wide collaborative working group, contributing to the design and development of open mission standards
Design and implement rapid prototype and proof-of-concept software demonstrations
Support multiple internal research and development efforts to evaluate emerging technologies

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and2 years of experience in software engineering OR
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and0 years of experience in software engineering
Demonstrated experience with a combination of the following: Linux/Unix and Windows development, Object-Oriented analysis and design, developing software/writing code using C/C++ and/or Java
An active, in-scope Secret Level DoD Security Clearance
Accredited degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
Experience in US Government working groups and/or consortiums
Preference to work in software/hardware integration and rapid prototyping
