Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sheet-metal Prod Mechanic 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities for this position are (but not limited to):

Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs production sheet metal products and equipmentin accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Makes sheet metal layouts; sets up and operates fabricating machinery; shapes metal over blocks, or formsand inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma and or GED plus at least 4 years experience working aircraft sheet metal detail parts and assemblies

Ability to layout, drill, and install aircraft hardware on and off of aircraft

Must have an active, in-scope DoD security clearance (secret or top secret) one that has had an investigation within the past five years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in Prototype Shop environment

Experience with developing tooling and shop aids to fabricate complicated sub-assemblies and unique aircraft installations.
